Sofa FAQ — Italian Luxury Sofas

Italian leather sofas, modular configurations, sectional sizing and how to commission a SOISU sofa.

What sizes do SOISU sofas come in?

SOISU sofas are available in 2-seater (typically L 1,960–2,510mm × W 980–1,070mm × H 850–900mm), 3-seater (L 2,300–3,310mm × W 920–1,100mm × H 700–920mm) and L-shape configurations (L 3,930–4,740mm × W 1,100/1,610mm × H 780mm). Many models also offer console and chaise variants. Every configuration is verified against your room dimensions before order and can be adjusted within ±15% of standard footprint for Indian living rooms that need it.

Is full-grain Italian leather suitable for Indian humidity?

Yes, when correctly treated. Full-grain Italian leather is the most resilient leather grade available. SOISU sources from Italian tanneries and conditions every hide with non-petroleum leather food, re-stretches the leather after import to acclimatise it to the Mumbai climate, and finishes with a breathable protective layer. With the included annual condition visits (first three years complimentary), a SOISU leather sofa easily lasts 15–25 years in Mumbai humidity.

Which SOISU sofa is best for a 12-foot living room wall?

For an 11–13 foot wall a 2.5-seater or compact 3-seater (around L 2,300–2,610mm) fits best — the Isola, Nido, or Torino in 3-seater configuration. Leave 1.5× the sofa length on the wall for visual balance, and maintain 90cm of walking clearance between sofa and coffee table. For walls over 13 feet, an L-shape like the Angolo (L 3,930mm) opens up the room without crowding it.

Can I configure a SOISU sofa as a modular?

Most SOISU sofas are built modular by default — sections come apart for delivery (down to 600mm wide for lift access) and reassemble in your room. The Roma Modular and Amalfi Modular allow you to specify each section independently — straight, corner, chaise, ottoman — and reconfigure later. Configuration is locked at the design consultation, then designed once, with precision, before manufacturing.

How long does a SOISU sofa take to build?

21 working days from deposit, plus 3–5 days for Mumbai delivery (longer for inter-state). Expedited 14-day builds are available with a 15% expedite fee, subject to leather and fabric availability. Out-of-Mumbai delivery is quoted upfront based on access (lifts, stairs, narrow corridors).

What is the SOISU sofa warranty?

Every SOISU sofa carries a 1-year structural warranty covering the frame and any manufacturing defect. Beyond the warranty period, SOISU is committed to support its products at cost — joint tightening, foam replacement, leather conditioning, mechanism service — for the life of the sofa. This is why we say a SOISU sofa is a 15–25 year investment, not a 3-year purchase.
