What is the difference between 1-motor, 2-motor and 3-motor recliners?

Accepted Answer

A 1-motor recliner drives the backrest and leg-rest together — you cannot lift your feet without also reclining. Comfortable for movie watching, limited for reading. A 2-motor system has independent backrest and leg-rest motors — you can recline back without lifting legs or vice versa. A 3-motor system adds an independent head/lumbar motor — Italian and German-engineered systems, hospital-grade ergonomics in a luxury silhouette. SOISU stocks 2-motor and 3-motor recliners only. The flagship D2122 and AW2310-D Elite (Maharaja Collection) are 3-motor.

How long do SOISU recliner motors last?

Accepted Answer

SOISU recliners use Italian-engineered motors with a 3-year parts warranty. The Maharaja Elite uses German motor systems (Dewert/Linak class) with a 5-year extended warranty. Realistic service life of the motor is 10–15 years in daily use, with our quarterly mechanism cleaning recommended. Beyond warranty, SOISU services motors at cost at our Mumbai workshop — motor swap typically completes in 7 working days.

Do SOISU recliners have USB and charging?

Yes — every 2-motor and 3-motor recliner in the SOISU range ships with USB-A and USB-C charging on the side console, plus a 5A power outlet routed through the chair base for laptop or device charging. Cabling is integrated, not external.

Question 4

Are SOISU recliners suitable for tall users?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Italian recliner design prioritises full back support and proper head positioning across the recline range, calibrated to users from 5'2" to 6'4". The Milano (ZY2723) is our most accommodating large-frame model; the Maharaja Elite (AW2310-D) has the longest leg-rest extension for taller users. We recommend a showroom test before commissioning.

What is the Maharaja Collection?

The Maharaja Collection is SOISU's flagship recliner sub-line for HNI Indian homes. Hand-stitched Tuscan Italian leather, German-engineered 3-motor mechanisms, smart-home integration (Alexa/Google control of recline presets), 24 leather-finish library and concierge installation.
