The Design
Lastra — Italian for slab — presents exactly what it promises: a marble slab top edged in polished brass and elevated on a stone/concrete pedestal.
The brass banding is not decoration; it is structural — protecting the marble edge and creating a deliberate material boundary. Low-profile, requiring nothing but an honest floor and honest furniture around it. The marble is grey-white, natural and sealed. The pedestal is poured concrete. Nothing pretends to be anything else.
