The luxury sofa market in India in 2026 spans: entry premium (Rs 80,000-1.5 lakh) — Indian brands with quality foam and imported fabric; mid-luxury (Rs 1.5-5 lakh) — Italian-design sofas manufactured in India with genuine Italian materials; upper luxury (Rs 5-15 lakh) — fully imported Italian or high-customisation bespoke pieces; ultra-luxury (Rs 15 lakh+) — international brand retail at Palladium and similar. SOISU does not publish a price band: its pieces are designed with global partners and assembled in India by SOISU from materials sourced worldwide, and because every piece is adapted, every quote is itemised and given in writing.
Luxury sofas in India range from Rs 1.5 lakh (entry premium) to Rs 15 lakh (ultra-high-net-worth segment). This consideration is critical for Indian buyers because conditions including climate variation between 20+ major cities, multi-generational living patterns, Indian dietary habits near furniture, and the 15-20 year ownership horizon all differ from the European standards for which most furniture is originally designed.
Italian-design manufactured-in-India sofas at Rs 2-5 lakh offer the best quality-to-price ratio in India. Apply this knowledge when visiting furniture showrooms across India. Ask for supporting documentation, sit in multiple configurations to test comfort, and evaluate furniture against your specific Indian home conditions including room size, window placement, cooking proximity, and family usage patterns.
