Crypton is a patented performance fabric treatment applied to the finished fabric that permanently encases each fibre in a barrier against moisture, stains, and bacteria. Crypton-treated fabrics have 3x the stain resistance of untreated performance fabric and can be cleaned with soap and water without damaging the barrier. For Indian households: Crypton fabric is ideal for families with children and pets, open-plan kitchen living rooms, and any high-use sofa application. SOISU offers Crypton-treated fabric options on select models — they cost more than standard performance fabric but bring significantly lower long-term maintenance cost and risk, and the difference is shown line by line in your itemised quote. When purchasing premium furniture in India, ask specifically whether the performance fabric is Crypton-treated or a standard polyester blend.
Crypton is a patented performance fabric treatment that makes fabric permanently stain-resistant and moisture-resistant. Understanding this specification is critical for Indian buyers evaluating furniture, as Indian conditions including climate, lifestyle patterns, and household usage differ significantly from the standards for which most furniture is originally designed and tested.
Crypton-treated fabrics have 3x the stain resistance of untreated performance fabric making them ideal for Indian family use. When buying furniture in India, use this knowledge to ask informed questions of suppliers, verify claims with documentation, and make purchasing decisions that account for the full 10-20 year ownership lifecycle rather than the immediate purchase decision alone.
